The very first remodel we ever did…was a condo. A little paint, some new trim…and a kitchen overhaul. It seemed like a big project at the time, but looking back now, it was no big deal. The kitchen was tiny, and very much straight out of the 1970’s. So in order to bring it up to date a little bit, we did a complete condo kitchen redo. The cabinets were in decent shape, but laminate and ugly. I was not sure about painting them, but I was assured by the hardware store employee, that they would be fine. Being my first time doing this, I thought for sure a kit was the way to go. Color selected, supplies purchased, and GO! It took me a solid weekend of paint…let dry…paint again. Once they were finished we swapped out the counter tops and it looked beautiful. Fast forward 10 years and we’ve done it again, on a much larger kitchen in our last house and will start again on our new house.
