We added to our already large animal family this week. Dad decided his little chicks needed some babies. Little chicks for little chicks. So he says. It was the whole “they were practically giving them away at the store” speech. I guess that’s what happens when you go shopping at the farm store on black Friday. I’ve heard of “chicken math,” but I’d never actually experienced it first hand. One chicken plus one chicken somehow has turned into WAY TOO MANY chickens!! However, raising them in the house so far has been kind of fun. The girls’ mornings have pretty consistently revolved around the chicks. Wake up and check on the chicks. Then clean and feed and hold the chicks. Sometimes if we’re not in a hurry to go somewhere, they even eat cereal with their chicks.
The girls also spent some serious time on Christmas crafts this week. They made LOTS of cards and a few ornaments for our tree. I have no doubt that most, if not all of their ornaments will be destroyed before Christmas…but it’s the act of making them they like the most anyways right?
We also started on the kitchen walls. Lil sis very gladly ripped off the last strip of wall paper.
